[News Ciné] Cannes 2007 : la sélection officielle
La sélection officielle du soixantième festival de Cannes a été dévoilée aujourd’hui par le Directeur Artistique Thierry Frémaux. La programmation fera une part à peu près égale entre les habitués de la Croisette (Tarantino, Wong Kar Wai en ouverture, Kusturica, Gus Van Sant…) et les nouveaux venus parmi lesquels rien de moins que David Fincher pour Zodiac, James Gray pour son troisième film après Little Odessa et The Yards, et le hongrois Belà Tarr pour une adaptation de Simenon. La déleguation française sera représentée par Catherine Breillat, Christophe Honoré (pour une comédie musicale) et Julian Schnabel. Olivier Assayas, préssenti un moment pour figurer en compétition officielle présentera son « Boarding gate » en séance de minuit. Hors compétition, un défilé de stars est prévu sur le tapis rouge puisque Steven Soderbergh présentera « Ocean’s 13 » et son casting quatre étoiles. Michael Moore, Palme d’Or en 2004 pour « Fahrenheit 9/11 » présentera aussi hors compétition son nouveau brulôt, « Sicko », sur le système de santé américain.

Lors du Festival 2006, le photographe Alex Majoli, de l’agence Magnum, a réalisé une série de portraits
d’artistes «jumpant» devant son objectif. A partir de ces clichés, le graphiste Christophe Renard a composé
une chorégraphie réunissant Pedro Almodovar, Juliette Binoche, Jane Campion, Souleymane Cisse, Penelope Cruz, Gérard Depardieu, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis et Wong Kar Wai.
L’affiche du 60e anniversaire est le manifeste d’un festival en mouvement vers l’avenir.
